SuperQuark few nights ago I watched (on Raiuno, Alberto Angela)
, program that I have always appreciated the beauty of his documentaries and the interest of the topics covered. That evening, however, as the last service at closing of the episode, I witnessed something that I did not like really.
10 minutes of apology Nuclear Energy, where he talked about his "security" by noting that very few people have died because of accidents at nuclear power plants in the world, its practicality, its "clean".
seemed to assist in a campaign ad built ad hoc to rethink the public on a choice made 20 years ago in the decisions that the new government is about to make.
For a program like
SuperQuark has no logic to speak "good" of nuclear power, given its interest in environmental policies more .. What happened then? a coup d'etat in the newsroom?
is a fact that nuclear is NOT the right choice, it is NOT a viable option because it is not safe, and looks a bit ', is not even so convenient .. especially for a country like Italy.
Just surf the web to find many documents and articles, but we mark this legambiente report which speaks of the many unsolved problems nuclear-related, such as waste, which will affect our descendants for thousands of years .
SuperQuark might have done better to consider not only the dead "direct" but also all those resulting from the serious nuclear accidents in recent years. Go and tell those who live within 50km from Chernobyl that nuclear power is safe, even today, we're suffering the consequences.
